One of the truths that I always try to live by is "that if you can't do it right, you can always do it over." I figure that works for most people, except maybe if you are a brain surgeon. So I whacked it. It really wasn't that painful to do--I had a mess. So I did some thinking and decided I would make a chain for every inch of the warp and put them on the loom as I made them. This seemed to work much better.
So I think this will work out--don't know if you are supposed to use tape on the warp but these puppies are not getting tangled if I can help it! I have 10" done--only 21 to go!!!
I desperately need lessons from you Barb. Honestly, I so admire your ability to whack it off and start again. Me, I stalemate and it sits there for months before I come back to it, if I encounter major problems. Have you ever cut off high grade linen????????
ReplyDeleteWell -- it can't be said that you are not tenacious! Good luck, I'm cheering for ya!
ReplyDeleteMy theory is if it isn't fun.figure out why and do something about it. Sometimes the time and effort is not worth the effort and I figure its time to "fish or cut the bait" I used to think it was wasteful but then I decided my time is worth something and making a mistake is a learning thing and learning is always good.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for you to get back here. Soooo curious! and hope it was mostly a great trip
